Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has recalled goaltender Ben Scrivens on emergency conditions from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. The Maple Leafs also assigned forward Nazem Kadri to the Marlies. 

Scrivens, 25, has appeared in five games with the Marlies this season, posting a 4-1-0 record with a 2.41 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. The native of Spruce Grove, Alberta played in two preseason games with the Maple Leafs in 2011-12, recording a record of 2-0-0 with a 0.95 goals against average and a .958 save percentage. 

Kadri, 21, has registered one assist and two penalty minutes in three games with the Maple Leafs in 2011-12. The 6-0, 188-pound native of London, Ontario, suffered a knee injury on September 27 at Ottawa and missed the first four games of the season. 

The Marlies are back in action tomorrow night (Oct. 28) at 7:30 p.m. when they take on the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, at Quicken Loans Arena.
