Known for his unconventional choice of characters and films, Irrfan Khan is all set to take inspiration from popular music icons Mick Jagger (the Rolling Stones) and John Lennon (the famous Beatles). However, it is not for any Hollywood project but for Homi Adajania’s next tentatively titled Takadum.

Irrfan Khan will be seen in the role of a rockstar – mentor in this musical which is said to be an extended cameo. Apparently, the actor will sport a bearded look for the film and will also grow his hair a little for the same. Irrfan had once described his character in this film to be larger than life and intriguing. While Homi has been planning to work with the actor for a long time, according to Irrfan, the filmmaker had insisted that he does this role though it isn’t a big one. From what we hear, the preparations for his character will kick start from December.

On the other hand, Takadum stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra as the lead pair. The duo had previously worked for YRF’s Shuddh Desi Romance. Sushant is also a big fan of Irrfan and has time and again expressed his excitement of working with him. Ever since Homi Adajania’s next was announced, there had been several speculations about the film. However, putting an end to them, the director had taken to twitter to announce the main cast of the film.
