Ranveer Singh wraps up Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy with a crazy on set celebration

The year 2018 will be the year of many new faces and fresh pairs on the big screen. One of the pairs coming together will be Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. The film went on the floor in early January 2018 on the streets of Dharavi in Mumbai. It will revolve around the story of rappers Naezy and Divine. While Alia Bhatt finished shooting on April 15, Ranveer Singh has finally wrapped up Gully Boy.

Taking to the Instagram, Gully Boy lead actor Ranveer Singh shared a group shot with the entire crew and Zoya Akhtar after the wrap up. Ranveer captioned the video, “FAM #itsawrap #gullyboy.” The cast celebrated the wrap with cake cutting ceremony. They also played some street rap songs whilst Ranveer danced on it. Enjoying the music and dancing with the crew, he even clicked a ton of pictures with the rappers who are a part of the film. He even shared a picture of himself wearimg Hollywood star Biggie’s face on his tee. Ranveer and Zoya surely enjoyed the wrap up.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy will bring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on the big screen for the very first time in this real life story. Although they have worked in a couple of ads for an e-com travel portal, this will be their first film together. This would be the second collaboration between Zoya and Ranveer after Dil Dhadakne Do. The film is scheduled to release on February 14, 2019.
