USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…After her friend Gulshan Devaiah was roped in to play the role of naval officer K M Nanavati in Soni Razdan's next directorial titled Love Affair, it is Kalki Koechlin will play the role of his wife Sylvia Nanavati.
Sylvia, wife of Kawaz Manekshaw Nanavati, was born in England and later married the naval officer in her homeland. She had three children, two sons and a daughter. While Nanavati was always away trying to protect the nation, a lonely Sylvia fell in love with Prem Ahuja, a friend of her husband. However, Nanavati got hold of the secret and in a fit of rage killed Prem. Though producer of Love Affair, Pooja Bhatt has maintained that Soni's film will only have its premise inspired by the popular Nanavati case, we hear that even the sketch of the roles played by Kalki and Gulshan will bear resemblance to the real life story.
Earlier, we had even reported that Chandan Roy Sanyal too has been roped in for the film. He will be seen playing the role of lawyer Ram Jethmalani. Ram was the Special Public Prosecutor of this 1959 case. In fact, Pooja and Chandan even contacted the lawyer while they were doing a recce for the film.
We also hear that Arjun Rampal too has been approached for the film and he will be seen playing the role of the suave and charming businessman Prem Ahuja. Produced by Pooja Bhatt in association with T-Series, Love Affair is the second directorial of Soni Razdan.
