USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Kamal Haasan and Sarika's two beautiful daughters seem to be the chip off the old block. While Shruti has leapt into Big League with Gabbar where she teams up with Akshay Kumar, the younger daughter Akshara is all set to make her debut in R Balki's Shamitabh where she's teamed with her sister Shruti's Tamil co-star Dhanush.
Furthermore Akshara has a hidden talent that will get a chance to be seen in Shamitabh. She is a dancer and a choreographer, and a very accomplished one at that.
When Balki got to know of her dormant talent he invited Akshara to do her own choreography for her dance.
Says Kamal Haasan, "I am glad both our daughters have taken to their parents' profession. But both my daughters have an aptitude for other vocations. While Shruti is the musician in the family, Akshara is the dancer and choreographer. She has composed the choreography of numerous dances for herself in private. In fact I discovered a penchant for choreography when I was in my 20s. So both father and daughter share a common passion for creating a dance idiom."
Balki's film doesn't have scope for much dancing. Apparently the director has made space in the story for Akshara to use her skills as a dancer and choreographer.
Her father the great Kamal Haasan choreographed dances for some early films directed by his mentor K Balachander.
