The actor who is currently serving his jail term has been granted 30 days parole by the Pune divisional commissioner. This comes after Dutt had filed for parole in June citing the reason of the ill-health of his daughter.

Sanctioned by Pune divisional commissioner two days ago, the 30-day parole that has been granted comes with a clause stating that the same can be extended by 60 more days. Interestingly, while the actor's sentence began in May 2013 after being booked for possession of illegal weapons as well as destruction of evidence under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, Sanjay Dutt has been out of prison for over 140 days.
