USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Mamta Kulkarni, who is best known for her roles in films like Karan Arjun, Tirangaa, Aashiq Awara, Waqt Hamara Hai, Krantiveer etc, had quit Bollywood after she got married to Vicky Goswami. The latter was in the news recently for the drug haul, in which the police had confiscated 20 tonnes of ephedrine worth around Rs. 2,000 crores.
The latest update on Mamta Kulkarni is that, she has now been named as one of the accused in Rs 2,000 crore drugs racket alongwith her husband Vicky Goswami. As per the news reports, both, Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky Goswami have been arrested by the Kenyan police and have been detained by the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Mombasa. Besides Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky Goswami, two more people have been taken into custody.
Speaking about the case to the media, Thane's Police Commissioner Parambir Singh said that, they had found fresh evidence that led them the fact that it was Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky Goswami who were the masterminds behind the multi crore drug racket. The Thane police will now be probing some Bollywood actors, who had connections with Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky Goswami. Additionally, Mamta Kulkarni is now, all likely, to face a Red Corner Notice by the Interpol and her bank accounts will thoroughly checked as well.
