Born on August 31, 1984 in Gurgaon, Rajkummar Rao, first started his acting journey in theater after completing his graduation from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in acting discipline.
The talented actor is known for his bold choices of roles undertaken, right from his first film, Love Sex and Dhoka. The film was itself an experiment in itself and Rajkummar Rao chose such a unique film for his debut, showing his confidence in his talent.
Dibankar Banerjee’s discovery is a director’s favorite who boldly takes up any character. He is also seen playing a part in Gangs of Wasseypur.
The National Films Award winner has delivered some hard hitting performances throughout his career. Be it playing family man unfavorable circumstances due to poverty in Citylights or bringing to life the Shahid Azim’s plight in the hard hitting film Shahid.
Not all have the capabilities to live every character in the way Rajkumar does it.
His one of the most fondly remembered role being Vijay in Queen ,also playing the geek Govind Patel in Kai Po Che not forgetting the Deepu Sebastian for Aligarh .
