All of the phrases that go along with the loss of a job are painful to the ears, difficult to swallow and even more difficult to digest.  Phrases such as "being let go", "being terminated", "laid off", "replaced" and so on can have such a detrimental effect on your sense of well-being, or your self-esteem.  Even the job you don’t like, the one that you could only wish they’d let you go from; the job that’s literally making you ill, will still leave you feeling just plain awful because of the connotation the whole event has upon you. If you have just recently found yourself in this position, or you fear that you may be experiencing it all too soon, then it is time right now to apply some Vedic Yoga to it in your zeal to find Shangri La in every moment of your life.  First know that some higher part of yourself has had a hand in this life changing event and probably in order for you to fulfill some better purpose in the Great Plan for you.  Once you get used to that idea, you can begin to ask questions such as, "What are my unique talents and natural born gifts?"  "How can I use these in a career so that I am earning a good wage while utilizing these abilities?"  "What lesson can I learn about the job I just lost in this new empty space?".  You can and should begin an extreme self-care program.  Remember your ears and throat and stomach may be exhibiting the symptoms of what was difficult to hear , swallow and digest.  You may need to hear the soothing sound of a loved one’s voice or some favorite music.  You could certainly make the bitter medicine of the event go down with something delicious to eat with the comfort of a friend.  Putting yourself into self-care mode will go along way to building back your energy so that when you go out to the job market again, you will look and feel your best.  Remember to do some Yoga, dance, garden, Tai Chi, just get moving.  Do some deep breathing to sooth jangled nerves.  Use an affirmation such as:  "This new transition is going to yield great results", or "I am now finding the perfect new job for me".  Ask for Divine Intervention. Stay out of fear and negative thinking.  You have NO right to use your mind for anything other than wonderful, uplifting, energizing and sacred thoughts.  Treat this all as a new adventure and success will soon be yours. Believe…….
