The sources of multiple newspapers and channels have informed that the Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav has been asked by the Home Ministry of India to resign from his Governor post. The resignation has been asked for after he was named in an FIR that was filed in the the Vyapam recruitment scam.

According to IBN Live, Yadav is the first sitting Governor who has been a part of the corruption FIR filed in the case. Yadav was highlighted in the case when his son was arrested. The Madhya Pradesh government has been allegedly manipulating the selection process for government jobs in the area. The manipulation in selection process conducted by Vyapam, is being probed by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). IBN informed that while admitting that the FIR process is on, senior police officer Ashish Khare had earlier said, “As per the High Court directions to the SIT, the STF (Special Task Force) will do what the SIT recommends.”

The Special Investigation Team, chief Chandresh Bhushan, had informed this Monday that many people had complained regarding the preceding’s that were taking place. He also informed that the Congress leader Digvijaya Singh too had complained and a probe was being carried out. The government informed the High Court that 539 people have been arrested in the case regarding Vyapam scam whereas 218 are still to be involved in the case.
