The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an attempt murder investigation.

On Monday, September 13, 2010, at 8:44 p.m., police responded to a shooting at the Fairview Mall, 1800 Sheppard Avenue East.

It is alleged that:

– two men were investigated at a retail outlet store for a theft-related offence,

– an altercation ensued outside the store at which time one of the men fired a shot at mall security officers,

– the suspects fled the area,

– a handgun was recovered by police at the scene.

No injuries were sustained during the shooting.

The suspects have been identified as:

Christopher Alexander, 27, of Toronto. He is described as black, medium build, 5’10", with dark-black hair pulled back into a bun, wearing a red T-shirt, baggy blue jeans and armed with a handgun.

Shaun Mobeen, 29, of Toronto. He is described as black, medium build, wearing a light-coloured shirt.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
