Toronto police seize 5kg of cocaine, Anh Tung Ly arrested

USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Drug Trafficking investigation.

It is alleged that:

– on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, an employee of a delivery courier company suspected illegal activity was taking place with one of their deliveries

– a secondary inspection of the parcel revealed a powdered substance

– the courier company called police

– while police were on scene, investigating, the sender of the initial package returned to deliver a second package

It is further alleged that:

– the substances in both packages were tested and found to be cocaine and ketamine

– the narcotics were surrounded by paprika, and destined for Edmonton, Alberta

– a search warrant was conducted at the sender's home

– cocaine, ketamine, and cash were seized

– in total, over 5 kgs of cocaine, 1 kg of ketamine, and $175,000 were seized

Anh Tung Ly, 28, of Woodbridge, has been charged with:

1) Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking
2) Possession of Ketamine for the Purposes of Trafficking
3) Possession of Proceeds of Crime
4) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, May 21, 2015, 10 a.m., room 103.

The investigation is ongoing.
