Just after 2 p.m. on December 21, 2010, District 7 RCMP received a 911 call for a 48-year-old Bath man who had fallen into the Monquart River in the Beechwood area.

The man had been working at the Beechwood hydroelectric dam with two other individuals. He lost his footing, fell into the water and drowned. His body was later recovered.

A joint investigation between the RCMP, the Coroner, and WorkSafe NB is continuing.

The man’s name is not being released pending notification of his family.
