UPDATE- August 20, 2018:  Leo V. Duvall, Llesh Biba’s attorney in the State of New York, provided an attorney affirmation to Oye Times stating that the charges of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl were dismissed by the Hon. William Garnett of the Richmond County Supreme Court on December 13, 2017. (According to the affirmation, seven counts constituting Rape in the Second Degree and 14 counts constituting Criminal Sexual Act in the Second Degree were dismissed.)  

On Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at noon, the Toronto Fugitive Squad, the Provincial ROPE Squad and Canada Border Services Agency arrested a fugitive from the United States.

It is alleged that:

– Llesh Biba, 30, of Albania, committed two home invasions in the Eastern District of New York City, in May 2008,

– in November 2009, he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl and was arrested by the NYPD Special Victims Unit,

– while awaiting trial on those charges, he fled to Canada where he evaded authorities,

– he was arrested in the GTA under an assumed name.

He is being held in custody pending an extradition hearing.
