On 10th April 2010 Police tracked one accused Tyrone Chambers to the East Coast of Canada, where with the assistance of the Halifax Police Service he was arrested and returned to this jurisdiction.
Shortly after the homicide, police received information that Joshua Warner had fled to Venezuela. Investigators sought the assistance of several international Law Enforcement Agencies including: R.C.M.P., Interpol, U.S. Marshals, Venezuelan State Police and Guyana Police Service. Numerous tips have relentlessly been followed up on by all agencies involved that centered on South American countries and various Caribbean Islands. In January the search became intensified in Guyana and on April 8th 2011 Joshua Warner was arrested in Guyana by the Guyana Police Service. The Hamilton Police Service was notified through Interpol and the RCMP liaison in Trinidad and Tobago. Hamilton Police liaised with the Canadian High Commission in Guyana and with their assistance sought Warner’s extradition. On Wednesday Detectives flew to Georgetown Guyana and Warner was arrested and returned to Canada today arriving this afternoon. He will appear in court tomorrow morning to face his charges. The Musgrave family have been kept up to date as the investigation unfolded and have been made aware of Warner’s return. Hamilton Police will hold a news conference on Monday 18th April at 10am at Central Station to answer any further questions.
