William James Dixon, 34, was arrested and charged on September 1, 2010, with second degree murder and possession of a weapon.
Dixon turned himself in to police in southeast Edmonton. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
“EPS Homicide Detectives are thankful for the assistance of the media, the valuable information provided by witnesses, and the cooperation of the community in helping to make arrests quickly,” said David Spiers, Staff Sergeant, EPS Homicide Section.
Background:
James Lee Catholique, 23, suffered head trauma in an apparent altercation that took place in the area of 100 Street and 107 A Avenue around 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2010. He was pronounced dead at the scene. On August 31, 2010, Rene Francis Quinn, 49, was arrested and charged with second degree murder and possession of a weapon in connection with the homicide of Catholique.
