Brian Burke, President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that forward Jay Rosehill and defenceman Danny Richmond have been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Rosehill played in four preseason games for the Leafs and registered 23 minutes in penalties. In two preseason games, Richmond collected an assist and seven penalty minutes.

The Toronto Marlies begin their sixth season when they host the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) at Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday, October 9 at 3 p.m.
