Prolific indie playwright/director returns with a scathing new satire.

Theatre Brouhaha’s Kat Sandler is presenting her latest new play — Retreat — at The Storefront Theatre, September 18 – 28th. Retreat, coming two months after the writer and director’s hit Punch Up at the Toronto Fringe Festival and Cockfight at the Storefront Theatre, is being presented by the Senior Partners Collective and Theatre Brouhaha Labs.

A job at Fischer, Cox, Sutton, and Tate is worth killing for…but is it also worth dying for? Four interns find themselves abandoned at a camp run by a disgraced scoutmaster and instructed to obtain a token from each other at any cost. What begins as an exercise in deception quickly turns deadly as the camp descends into chaos.

From prolific Torontonian playwright Kat Sandler (Punch Up, Delicacy, We Are The Bomb) comes this scathing satire about young professionals going the distance to turn their internship into a career that is equal parts Office Space, Lord of the Flies, and Survivor.

Retreat features an incredible cast of up-and-coming actors: Justin Goodhand (Antagonik), Mara Zigler (The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other Eric Carle Favorites, Teach Me), Michael Musi (I Do…I Guess), Nicole Buscema (Sean and Steven Run For Mayor, Vitals) and Kat Letwin (Rulers of the Universe, Scheherazade, Dark Matter, The Misanthrope). Designed by Kat Sandler (Punch Up, Delicacy, Cockfight) and Claire Hill (Cockfight), with costumes by Holly Lloyd (Punch Up, Cockfight).

Retreat runs from September 18th to September 28th at the Storefront Theatre. Tickets are available in advance at www.SecureASeat.com $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
