Rock ‘n’ roll was going off the rails in the ’60s, with songs getting stretched out and sliding into psychedelia, before Bob Dylan walked into a Nashville studio to record Blonde on Blonde. With that one album, Dylan reminded fans that rock began as an upbeat blend of folk, blues and country, and the roots-rock revival was born. Los Angeles musician Greg Felden carries on that tradition today with songs about lost loves and new beginnings, his soulful voice often accompanied only by his guitar. He brings a full band to Grand Annex.
