Comedy Uncovered returns to Toronto’s most progressive brewhouse for a night of epic comedy in Toronto’s West end. On Sunday, May 31 at 9pm, the Biermarkt on Queensway will rock some of the best up-and-coming standups in Toronto. With over a hundred beers to be paired with delicious Belgian fare, it’s a solid night of food and entertainment.

Our second show of our three month series at the bumpin’ The Biermarkt Queensway (near Sherway Gardens), it’s one of the best shows to storm Etobicoke.

Our line-up is killer. Headlined by Bryan Hatt (Comedy Network), plus stand up by Julia Hladkowicz (No Kidding, SiriusXM), Marito Lopez (Great Canadian Laugh Off – Finals) plus host Chris Allin (2013 Tim Sims Comedy Award, Yuk Yuks)… it’s going to be off the hook!

Did we mention the beer? Because there’s going to be tons of delicious beer.

Stand Up: Marito Lopez

Marito Lopez, originally from El Salvador, moved to Canada at the tender age of four and has learned to love the English language, White People and snow. He grew up in the mean streets of Calgary, Alberta, and is probably the cutest gangster you’ll ever see on stage. Whether its at school, the club, or in the drunk tank, Marito has always wanted to be funniest person in the room. In 2009, Marito pulled a Kanye West, dropped out of college and decided to follow his dream. Kanye West is a millionaire right now and Marito just moved back in with his parents.

In the short time Marito Lopez has been doing comedy, he’s been able to produce multiple successful comedy shows, make it to the finals of the regional Great Canadian Laugh Off, and be featured on Shaw TV for a documentary on comedy in Calgary. One day, people will recognize Marito on the streets. Hopefully as a comedian.

Well respected within the comedy community for his passion, work ethic and ability to woo any audience, Chris’ personal brand of self-deprecating humour tackles the issues we’re often wondering ourselves: what happens to aging hipsters and relationships post 20’s? Let Chris tell you.

Chris’ ability to take risks and have fun on stage have gotten him on shows along side great comics like The Sklar Brothers, Greg Behrendt, and on the NXNE Festival. Chris is a one of a kind performer who continues to entertain audiences from beginning to end.
