ISTVAN, THE KING is Istvan Kantor’s newly formed Neoist band. Kantor came up with the name and concept of the band while being locked up in a lunatic asylum in New York, in 2014. The sound of Kantor’s new band is feeding from Hungarian and Balkan folk just as much as from communist propaganda songs, revolutionary marches, scrapmetal noise, heavy industrial beat, chaos jazz and minimalist loopmachine music.Kantor is joined by such excellent internationally known musicians as Vivienne Wilder, Gordon Hyland and Kyle Mcgyle. For the Smiling Buddha show the band will be added with other guest musicians known for their extreme technic and skills. Istvan Kantor is also known as Monty Cantsin, the open-pop- star of Neoism. Kantor/cantsin initiated the Neoist Conspiracy in 1979 in Montreal which soon became the largest revolutionary art movement around the World with Neoist Embassys in Montreal, Toronto, Portland, Baltimore, New York, London, Berlin, Paris, Budapest, Verona, Novi Sad, Prague, Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and most recently China. Kantor produced four electro-pop vinyl LPs in the 80s and released several other CD-s through the 90s and 00s, his music changing from synth sounds to techno-industrial noise. Kantor disbanded his previous group the Red Armband last year after more than a decade of experimentation with electro-riot mashup-noise. The band released a full album of songs “The Enemy” that is available on bandcamp.

For his museum interventions Kantor/Cantsin was arrested and jailed a number of times and he is returning to the Criminal Court of NYC oct 19th for vandalizing a mattress in a gallery. According to Kantor museums are prisons. “I swear to God” he declares waving a red flag “I will never make any politically correct, dead boring museum art!” His main creative discipline is revolt. He turns blood into gold. He comes from nowhere and belongs nowhere.

He wasn’t born and he’ll never die.

In 2012, Toronto musician Lorenz Peter joined bassist Melissa Joakim to form heavy, post-industrial duo PROCESSOR. Experimenting with crunchy, pulsing synths, drum machine and driving, distorted bass, Processor rides an unruly line between chaos, composition and punk beauty. Known for playing in rock outfits such as Corpusse, Les Fontaines and Bay of Creatures, Peter also runs Toronto record store LP’s LPs and has recently collaborated with Constellation Records artist Sandro Perri. Joakim is also psych-noise band Bay of Creatures’ bassist, a professional lighting designer, and consummate experimenter with tapes, loops and radios. Processor’s self-titled LP on electronic label Paper+Sound follows up on two 2013 cassette releases on the same label, building on the duo’s pursuit of relentless, hypnotic noise within composed, genre-defying music.

As a result of men failing to ally themselves with their sisters in feminism, the value of penis has depreciated to an all-time low. Welcome to THE NEW MATRIARCHY an authoritarian regime that has subverted everything you once knew to be true, including sex moves such as The Vagina Wolfe (woman on top) and the S’Moan de Beauvoir (woman on top) all set to the ominous clamour of an omnichord. It’s coming. It’s already here.

MONTY CANTSIN is anyone. Maybe it’s you and you don’t even know it.
