Toronto seems to have an unquenchable thirst for karaoke so I thought I should let you know about Hot Breath Karaoke, the cult karaoke game show from London, England that is coming to Toronto, Oct. 8th at The Gladstone. I am the host and creator of Hot Breath and I have recently Brexited myself to Toronto (rents, gentrification, yawn) and I'm looking to bring the crazy fun of Hot Breath to this city. It's part karaoke, part Wheel of Fortune, part Value Village and a totally ridiculous party. The concept is simple, everyone who braves the stage gets to spin a glitter laden wheel of fortune and have the chance to win a fabulish prize they never knew they wanted. Throw in custom made jingles, sound effects and a leaf blower that fires loo roll and you've got a full on show, with you as the star. If you have a combined love of karaoke, ceramic dolphins and Anthony Kiedis fan art, then Hot Breath Karaoke is meant for you. The launch party is at the Gladstone Hotel on October 8th and then we're going weekly in a few other spots in the coming months.
