The people that come to Rancho Margot, arrive from all over. Americans, Canadians, Europeans, South Americans and of course the local Costa Ricans, a.k.a. as Ticos.

Last week the two wonderful girls from Atlanta came to my yoga session. The next morning I was asked to take them on a ranch tour. My first guided tour, and although initially I was nervous that I might not know enough, the encouragement I received to “go with your heart” was enough to dispel all doubts. As I showed my little group around, I was impressed with my own knowledge of the multitude of plants, for medicinal use, for the animal feed and as natural pesticide and repellants……..the composting, the production of electricity, and the process involved in creating methane gas which is used by the kitchen. The mission of the Ranch focusing on production, education and tourism. Before I realized how much time had passed, I had done the full two hours of the tour.

We all learn every day, through our observation, hearing and reading. When we move with the inner confidence, and from the heart space, the words just flow. The girls had already bonded with me during the yoga sessions and at one point in the tour, as we passed a passage way created by overhanging vines, I mentioned how this seems to be an ideal spot for a wedding ceremony. As I briefly shared with them the idea for a wedding ritual, especially for a couple looking to tie their wedding knot with a non-conventional ceremony. A ritual I believe will allow the couple to share their vows, and have a fall back for those times in life when the relationship seems to go through some turbulent times. The girls were thrilled and promised me that they would love to hold their wedding here………….my answer to them and all the other beautiful souls is always……….”I will be right here, waiting”.

Tu Eres Mi Otro Yo – (You Are My Other Self). A Mayan concept of unity, we learn to be ourselves through our relationships with others.
