Addressing the journalists on Monday at the ministry’s Headquarters in Torit, the acting Director General Mrs. Margaret Idwa Okuye directed all journalists of her ministry to behave properly wherever they are deployed.

She urged the journalists to show respect to state, county and municipal authorities where they are deployed and offer the desired services. The state information ministry reporters welcomed Ms. Idwa’s message but complained that most state, county and municipal officials ignored their presence and services.

The state ministry deployed its reporters to different institutions with a sole purpose of reporting on activities of their respective administrative units on the state radio, 97.5 fm. The deployment of journalists to all ministries and other relevant state and county authorities was a decision of the council of ministers.
