84 year old Toronto man charged with assault

On Thursday, May 27, 2010, police responded to a call for a shooting in the Boon Avenue/Rogers Road area.

It is alleged that:

– the accused became involved in a neighbour dispute with the victim,

– the accused, armed with a handgun, pointed the gun at the victim and shot the victim.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Diego Arcuri, 84, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Assault,
2) Threatening Death,
3) Discharge firearm intend wound,
4) Attempted murder while using certain firearm,
5) Aggravated assault,
6) Careless use of a firearm,
7) Point Firearm,
8) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
9) Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition,
10) Careless storage of a firearm,
11) Careless Storage Ammunition,
12) Possession prohibited weapon.

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, May 28, 2010, room 306, at 10 a.m.
