USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Did the producers of Mr X. have a premonition about the fate of their film? We have it from a very reliable source that approximately 10 minutes of the film was cut voluntarily by the film's producers Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films.

Says the source, "When all the post-production was over, and after the film was censored, the producers decided to knock off around 10-12 minutes of extra footage. This is most unusual. It indicates that there was an internal uneasiness about the film's fate."

Says the source, "The Bhatts kept plugging Mr. X as a movie for children. They wanted to change the profile of Emraan Hashmi's audience. It didn't work."

Now that Mr X. has turned out to be a non-starter, there is a deep concern about the projects being helmed by Fox Star. In recent times barring Bang Bang which the studio claims has made money, almost all the films that Fox Star has produced have been non-profitable ventures.

All eyes are now glued to Fox Star's Rs. 120-crore opus Bombay Velvet, being seen as a make-or-break venture for those involved.
