On Sunday, March 11, 2012, the 25th annual Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place at noon. The procession will start from Bloor Street and St. George Street, and continue along Bloor Street, south on Yonge Street, west on Queen Street West to Nathan Phillips Square.

As a result of this event, a full road closure will take place on Bloor Street, Yonge Street and Queen Street West. A number of secondary roads will also be closed or partially closed, affecting traffic flow in the area.

Road closures: 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
– St. George Street (full road), Bloor Street West to College Street
– Devonshire Place (full road), Bloor Street West to Hoskin Avenue

Road closures: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Hoskin Avenue (full road), St George Street to Queen’s Park Cresent
Harbord Street (full road), St George Street to Huron Street

Road closures: 11:55 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bloor Street (full road), Huron Street to Yonge Street
Yonge Street (full road), Bloor Street to Queen Street
Queen Street West (full road), Yonge Street to University Avenue

Road closures: noon to 3 p.m.
Bay Street (full road), Queen Street West to Dundas Street West
Elisabeth Street (full road), Dundas Street West to Hagerman Street
Hagerman Street (full road), Elizabeth Street to Bay Street

Road closures: 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
University Avenue (partial road), Queen Street West to Dundas Street West
Armoury Street (full road), University Avenue to Chestnut Street
Centre Avenue (full road), Dundas Street West to Armoury Street

The TTC will be re-routing buses during the event.

This event will take place regardless of weather conditions. Members of the public should anticipate significant traffic delays in the area surrounding the event.
