Santo Domingo. The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES) announced the celebration of the nineteenth Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange Fair (DATE), from April 11 to 13, at the Convention Center of the Barceló Bávaro Beach in Punta Cana. The event promotes the Dominican tourist offer and has the support of the Ministry of Tourism.
ASONAHORES offered the details of DATE 2018 during a cocktail party held in the Churchill Room of the Hotel Intercontinental Real Santo Domingo.
The president of the entity, Joel Santos, explained that the event of commercialization of the Dominican tourist product is designed as a space for business exchange.
He affirmed that suppliers of the local tourism product will be making exchanges with tour operators, travel agents, airline representatives, hoteliers and other professionals of the sector, through pre-established appointments and also, defining joint business strategies.
He indicated that DATE has become the most important meeting for those who bet on the tourist potential of the country.
The President of Asonahores stressed that as every year, in this edition of DATE, the number of local representatives interested in marketing their tourism products will grow, as well as the buyers who come together.
International buyers present on DATE will have the opportunity to tour the city of Santo Domingo with the support of the Hotel Association of Santo Domingo (AHSD).
