While briefing the press in Juba, Malwal said that the two shall in no way use the party’s name in any capacity.

“Hon. Martin Toko Moi and Majok Mading Dier, have lost all their legitimacy regarding their membership, rights and privileges of being members in the UDSF and therefore do not and cannot represent the UDSF in any capacity” said Eng. Malwal.

Malwal said the suspension is as a result of Tako Moi, who has been acting as the Caretaker Chairperson of the party attempting to forcefully take over as Chairperson while he was away.

A move that did not go down well with Malwal as he says the leadership of the party is legitimate and must remain so.

“This entire people were elected through the convention which was done in May 2009, therefore if you want to change leadership, it has to be done by the same body that elected this people. Said Malwal

Malwal urged the two suspended members to comply with the decision taken by the party, warning that they should not pursue illegal dealings.

He has also appealed to the government of South Sudan, all political parties, NGOs, and any foreign bodies to respect and cooperate with the suspension order.
