“I was saddened to hear of the passing of Cst. Chelsey Alice Robinson,” said Premier Stelmach. “The loss of one of our finest in red serge in the line of duty is a tragic event that is mourned by all Albertans. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cst. Alice Robinson’s family and friends and her colleagues in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police during this tragic time.”
Cst. Chelsey Alice Robinson from Stony Plain, Alta., was killed early Monday morning in a collision between her marked cruiser and a semi-tractor trailer on Highway 16.
She was the sole occupant of the fully-marked police cruiser, she was taken to hospital where she died from her injuries.
Solicitor General and Minister of Public Security Frank Oberle issued this statement following the death of RCMP Constable Chelsey Alice Robinson near Stony Plain.
“We are all shocked and saddened to hear about the tragic and sudden passing of Constable Chelsey Robinson. This tragedy reminds us of the risks that all police officers face while carrying out their duties.
