Outfest: L.A.’s Legendary LGBT Film Festival
Various Los Angeles Venues – Outfest (Los Angeles, CA)

For 34 years, the Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival has celebrated the latest and greatest in queer cinema. This year, there are two festival series: Focus on Latin America explores some exceptional films coming out of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, and Focus On Los Angeles showcases the thriving local film production landscape. With a mix of U.S. and international narrative features, documentaries and shorts, there’s always something for everyone, from the discerning film buff to the first-time festivalgoer hoping to see their story reflected on the big screen. Many of the movies are followed by post-screening Q&A discussions, and many include pre- or post-screening receptions with a hosted bar. Among the scheduled screenings is the latest from acclaimed Australian filmmaker Gillian Anderson (My Brilliant Career, Little Women), the documentary Women He’s Undressed, which delves into the fascinating life of Oscar-winning costume designer Orry-Kelly.
