Sexual, violent offender released into Edmonton community

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing the following warning. Jamie Harrington White was recently released from a correctional facility after he completed a sentence for numerous offences including, criminal harassment, breach of a court order, and uttering threats. He has several past sexual assault convictions and violence related convictions.

White is considered by police to be a violent, and sexual offender who could pose a risk of significant harm to persons in the community.

The EPS is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community about White.
