PM Julia Gillard assert Tony Abbott people smugglers’ new confidant for denying backing decree that would perk up the Government’s people swap agreement with Malaysia. Severely rising her assaults, the Prime Minister said the Opposition Leader is likely to be held responsible for every new boat that arrived in Australia unless he helped her legal uncertainty over overseas processing.
PM Gillard says, “If Mr. Abbott ends the ability of government to process offshore then he must also take the responsibility for the consequences that that lack of resolve will send to people-smugglers. If they see no resolve then that means we will see more boats and Mr. Abbott will have to take the responsibility.”
On Thursday, both asylum seeker vessels were stopped by the navy of Christmas – one carried 68 people and the other 113.
Opposition immigration spokesperson Scott Morrison said: “She (Ms Gillard) should embrace the only offshore processing solution that has worked, which is on Nauru.”
According to the independent MP Tony Windsor, the dispute has turn into a disgrace and every one. All parties much take a break and talk a way forward.
