On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 1:12 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision in the Unwin Avenue/Leslie Street area.
It is reported that:
− police located a woman suffering from trauma to the body on Unwin Avenue
− she was taken to hospital and later died
The victim has been identified as Leanne Freeman, 23, of Winnipeg.
A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the body.
