The nation bid adieu to one of the finest actors in the Hindi film industry, Vinod Khanna on Thursday, April 27. After suffering from bladder carcinoma (bladder cancer), Vinod Khanna said farewell to this world.
Many Indian celebrities and politicians shared their condolences to Vinod Khanna’s family and friends. The actors, who had the chance of working with him, shared their experiences and said that it was an honour to share a screen space with him.
Indian dairy cooperative Amul always has their versions of any pressing topic that is political or social or is trending on social media. Amul, who have this photo segment called Amul Topical, shared a tribute in the honour of late Vinod Khanna which is equally heartwarming and heartbreaking. They captioned it as, “#Amul Topical: Tribute to one of Hindi cinema’s favourite superstars.” The quote on the photo reads, “Yeh Kabhi Na Ruka Haar Ke. Hamara Apna Vinod Khanna. 1946-2017.”
Vinod Khanna was a sitting Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Gurdaspur district of Punjab. He was seen in 141 films between 1968 and 2013. He had starred in films like Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Gaddaar, Jail Yatra, Imitihaan, Inkaar, Kuchhe Dhaage, Amar Akbar Anthony, Qurbani, Kudrat, Dayavan, Kaarnama, Suryaa: An Awakening and Jurm. He was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale.
