The Music of Stevie Wonder, Played by SFJAZZ Collective

Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)

All-star jazz ensemble SFJAZZ Collective takes on the body of work of pop music legend Stevie Wonder for this explosively entertaining performance at Valley Performing Arts Center’s Great Hall. Hailed by The New York Times as "a serious jazz band," the SFJAZZ Collective is comprised of eight premier performer-composers. Each season, the group performs new original pieces while also exploring the work of a notable jazz great — so far they’ve covered Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner and Horace Silver. Now audiences are treated to their unique arrangements of such Stevie Wonder hits as "Superstition," "Do I Do," "Sir Duke," "My Cheri Amour" and more.
