Men’s quarter final battle continued on day 9 at Wimbledon 2012, it’s a sturdy day at All England Club.

No. 4 Andy Murray made it to the semifinals at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships with a 6-7 (12), 7-6 (13), 6-4, 7-6 (11) succeed over No. 7 David Ferrer in the men's quarterfinals on Wednesday. Murray will now meet No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semi-final match. This is Andy Murray fourth successive Wimbledon semi-final appearance.

Both players had plenty of break point opportunities to be in charge of the match however, Murray took the most advantage and take the game away from Ferrer. Murray served 18 aces to six, and 61 winners to 44 for his rival.

No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated No. 27 Philipp Kohlschreiber with a 7-6 (12), 4-6, 7-6 (10), 6-2. Tsonga now play with No. 4 Andy Murray in semi-final.

Tsonga had 17 winners to 10 for Kohlschrediber, and 43 total winners in the match. The first three sets were strongly fighted, but Tsonga leaded in the fourth.

Tsonga has now made the semifinals two times at the All England Club. His sole finals appearance at a grand slam came in 2008 at the French Open.

Novak Djokovic reached to the semifinals with a straight-set win over No. 31 Florian Mayer, 6-4, 6-1, 6-4, in the men's quarterfinals at the 2012 Championships at Wimbledon on Wednesday. Mayer did not fight at all against the top player in the world, who's looking to repeat as Wimbledon champion. Djokovic continued his steady play, overpowering Mayer with his serve and carried out victory with an ace.

Djokovic will now play No. 3 Roger Federer in semi-final, having a huge clash on Friday at the All England Club. These two have not met yet on the grass and the match will certainly be the good one on Friday.

Women’s semi-finals will be played on Thursday of the Wimbledon Championships as Angelique Kerber meets Agnieszka Radwanska while Serena Williams takes on Victoria Azarenka.
