Toronto man Baktazh Balouch charged with Trafficking in Heroin

Officers from the Peel Regional Police Street Crime Gang Unit have executed a search warrant and made a significant seizure of heroin. 

In response to complaints about possible drug trafficking in a number of Brampton and Mississauga residential neighbourhoods, members of the Street Crime Gang Unit commenced an investigation which culminated in the identification of a male believed to be responsible for supplying area drug traffickers with heroin.

Wednesday July 25, 2012, a search warrant was executed by the Street Crime Gang Unit at an address in Toronto.  Seized was 1.62 pounds (739 grams) of heroin and a large sum of cash.  The street value of the heroin is estimated to be $220,000. 

Charged with Trafficking in Heroin and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking is Baktazh Balouch, 25yrs of age from Toronto. Balouch was held for a bail hearing and will appear in a Toronto court.
