Asylum Lab Theatre (Hollywood, CA)

In this one-man (er, one-woman?) musical comedy, writer, director and star Jeffrey Wylie assumes his fabulous and outspoken drag alter ego, Lyla KaRug, South Texas’ number one talk radio queen. Lyla hits the web on her very own talk show, tackling issues such as ignorance, adult bullying and gay teen suicide. After a successful run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, Texas Loves Lyla! is getting an extended run at Theatre Asylum. The comedic show takes an irreverent approach to examining the underlying causes of bullying and what can be done in helping the victims of this headline-making epidemic.
