Whitefire Theatre performs the world premiere of Andy Bloch’s dark comedy, The Bellflower Sessions. Jack Calvin is an angry man who considers himself a victim of life. He decides to seek help from psychiatrist Dr. Wendy Bellflower, who is herself mentally unstable. The result is a train wreck of epic proportions, told with comic brutality. The Bellflower Sessions is an especially timely play because it deals with the pressures that come from dealing with unemployment and the Great Recession, and the toll they take on Jack’s mental health.
