The Governor sounded the warning upon arrival from the United Kingdom (UK) and the United State of America (US) where he had gone to collect border documents with Sudan.

“The two countries I visited have worked tirelessly and stored all the information regarding our new country, the Republic of South Sudan. The next step is to work collectively with the County Commissioners and elders of Pariang, Riubkona, Mayom and Abiemnhom that are bordering the North Sudan in the borderline,” said Governor Deng.

“The Government of the Republic of South Sudan is working towards peace and development in the country. This is our responsibility to bring peace and stability to this country and it’s not a work of one person,” he added.

The governor also urged the public to participate in agriculture which he said is the back bone of the country.  He urged the youth to live in peace and to do away with cattle rustling that he said costs many lives of innocent citizens.

“The government of South Sudan wants to live in peace and stability with its neighboring countries like Sudan.  Peaceful dialogue towards the contentious issues is the ideal for South Sudan,” said Deng.

“The government of Unity State is also working towards building strong relationship with the neighboring states and to tackle crimes like cattle thefts and criminals roaming between the states and those involved must face the consequences,” he warned.

Deng also revealed that the National Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Judiciary of the Republic of South Sudan had promised to deploy enough legal experts to tackle all the criminal cases in the state.

The Governor also thanked the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary for working hard to restore peace in the state during his one month stay in US and UK.
