The back-to-back MLS Champion Los Angeles Galaxy hit the pitch to take on Western Conference rivals the Portland Timbers at the Home Depot Center. The Galaxy are gunning for a three-peat with a loaded roster that includes veterans Landon Donovan and captain Robbie Keane, and surprising goal scorer Mike Magee, who earned MLS Player of the Month honors in April. Star winger/forward Donovan and defender Omar Gonzalez were recently named to the U.S. national team for the 2013 Gold Cup. The Portland Timbers are in the hunt near the top of the Western Conference with recent wins over the Wilmington Hammerheads and D.C. United. Look for Diego Valeri and Will Johnson on the attack while goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts holds down the fort.
