Outfest’s opening night film, C.O.G., is the first feature based on the writings of David Sedaris. Capturing the best-selling author’s very funny perspective, the story follows recent college graduate David (Jonathan Groff of Glee) as he decides to get close to nature — and working-class people — by spending a summer picking apples in Oregon. On his eye-opening journey, he meets an increasingly eccentric bunch of mentors, from a flirtatious co-worker to an extremely religious follower.
