In response to some intense comments made a popular environmentalist, David Suzuki, the Canada Immigration Minister, Jason Kenney, called him a ‘‘xenophobic.’’ In the latest edition of French news weekly, namely L’Express, Mr. Suzuki mentioned that Canada has had its fill of immigrants, where he was quoted as saying Canada’s immigration policy is “disgusting,” because “we plunder southern countries by depriving them of future leaders, and we want to increase our population to support economic growth.”

Additionally, Mr. Suzuki commented that “it’s crazy!” He allegedly linked population growth with environmental degradation, asserting that “I think Canada is full, too! Although it’s the second largest country in the world, our useful area has been reduced.”

In response to comments made by Mr. Suzuki, Mr. Kenney sent a series of tweets in last several days, where he called him attributes like “xenophobic” and “anti-immigration.” One French-language tweet of Mr. Kenney alleged that he is “sorry for xenophobic David Suzuki, who calls immigration ‘crazy’ because ‘Canada is full.’” Another English tweet stated that Mr. Suzuki’s comments were “toxic and irresponsible.” He also tweeted: “What would happen if a prominent conservative said [the] same thing?” In another a issued on Thursday, Mr. Kenney stated that “[Mr.] Suzuki’s extreme comments reveal how offside he is with Canadians. “Canada is a country built by immigrants.  Canadians are welcoming and tolerant, and Canada’s successful approach to pluralism is viewed as a model around the world.”

  1. As a Canadian who was born in Toronto back in the 1940s, I am deeply concerned about our government spending 23 Billion Dollars per year to support their excessive immigration policies, which is what they are doing to secure more votes. Most immigrants are great people, but the bottom line is that the taxpayers of Canada cannot afford to accept so many at this time, it’s as dumb as an unemployed person buying a new BMW car.
Due to cultural birth rates, and Canada’s excessive immigration policies, Canada will have a fully Islamic government by 2050, it’s unavocomment_IDable according to experts, they’ll win at the election stations. There are just too many reasons why Canada must greatly reduce their present immigration policies.
