Actress Sharon Stone executive produced and appears in the 2013 documentary Femme: Women Healing the World, featuring interviews with 100 influential females around the world, ranging from Nobel Prize winners, politicians, activists and authors to directors, actresses and even Gloria Steinem. Director Emmanuel Itier and several of the film’s subjects are scheduled to attend a post-screening Q&A, and attendees are invited to an opening-night reception at Zanzibar. Now in its fourth year, L.A.’s Awareness Festival celebrates films that explore important issues in today’s society through documentaries, narrative features and shorts.
