Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit have laid charges against two men in connection with the 2010 homicide of 27-year-old Donald Chad Smith.

On October 23, 2010, officers responded to a building on Joseph Young Street in Dartmouth for a report of a shooting. The victim, Donald Chad Smith, was shot while making a pizza delivery and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Yesterday, 21-year-old Randy Desmond Riley of Dartmouth and 21-year-old Nathan Tremain Johnson of Cherry Brook were arrested in connection with this incident and have been charged with first-degree murder. They were held in custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning.
