The Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center (Los Angeles, CA)

Share one man’s descent into the darkness in Shadow of the Villain, a highly original new solo show at the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center. Fascinated with the nature of evil, writer-performer Kevin Dulude uses multiple characters — he plays eight in all — to explore villainy from a variety of perspectives. Using old-fashioned storytelling techniques and songs made popular by Al Jolson, Cher, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Madonna and more, Dulude’s one-man show poses, and seeks to answer, questions such as: What makes a villain? And are evildoers born that way, or do tragic circumstances force them down a dark path?
