Please join us for School Night! Torontos first monthly Spoken Word Master Class series. Every first Monday of the month, well be featuring a Spoken Word superstar, who will share their work, as well as tips and tricks of the trade. But wait! Theres more! At the end of their set, theyll offer the audience a writing prompt then its your turn! Cook up your response during the break, and then share your work on our participants only open-stage. Wanna give your writing an inspiration injection? Come hear a master share their secrets at Go! Every first Monday of the month. (and dont forget your notebook 😉 Cover: $6 Lishai uses the power of the pen to connect, reflect and educate. She was raised in Europe and the Middle East, but is a daughter of Indias diaspora. She has extensive experience working with culturally sensitive, alternative education youth programs and has worked with Unity Charity, the TDSB and with the City of Toronto to design and implement spoken word, leadership programming. She was on the 2012 winning team for the national poetry slam championship and recently published a graphic novel – “Why Birds and Wolves Don’t Trade Stones”
