USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…In Bollywood, while on one hand, remakes are soon becoming the call of the day, on the other, there are many projects that get fizzled out due to various reasons. Call it destiny, but the remake of Shaukeen (that's to be produced by Akshay Kumar) did not suffer any such fate, despite the walking out of Rumi Jaffrey, who was going to direct the same.
The latest update is that Abhishek Sharma (the man who made Tere Bin Laden) has stepped into the director's shoes of this film. When asked about the film, Rumi said that there is no bad blood between Akshay Kumar and him and that he is sure that Abhishek will do a commendable job. When asked Rumi about the reason to quit the film, he said that the film was supposed to start in 2013, but got delayed and that he has another commitment in 2014.
