Kush jet announced resumption of flights to start next week without providing a date.
Speaking to Gurtong in Wau, Kush airline manager John Garang Dut said the aircraft was offline for almost a month after it was sent to Nairobi, Kenya, for servicing and maintenance.
“Our jet has spent a long period of time without being taken for service maintenance and that is why we for [the] time being suspended operations so that we make any service that the jet might require,” said Dut.
The manager denied any insecurity interruption linked to their fights suspension saying the suspension did not have any connection to the current insecurity in the country and that right now their two small charter aircrafts are now on daily operation in the country.
“We yearly do send our jet to Nairobi for service so that its safety standard is guarantee,” he said.
Kush airline operates in the east Africa region including flights to Kampala, Nairobi, Pretoria and Khartoum.
